Why Earn Your PMP or CAPM?

The Project Management Program is for professionals seeking to formalize their understanding of project
management concepts, as well as prepare themselves to take the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project
Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exams (each administered by PMI).

Project management is both an art and a science that involves managing the competing constraints of time,
budget, scope, and quality. Through experience, project managers gain a vast array of skills, from communication
and presentation skills to negotiation, risk management, and more. In this program, students will also learn the
processes and standards for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and successfully completing a
project from PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.

Course Descriptions:

Project Management Program

This course will cover the content of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) which is published by PMI. The program combines lectures, practice exams, and instructor-led practical applications. It also addresses the conceptual underpinnings, theories, and best practices key to successful management of project life cycles. Students will learn skills and techniques associated with project management that can transfer across many industries. The curriculum will cover the project process groups, knowledge areas, processes, project management methodologies, risk, and analytical strategies. This course is recommended for those who need to work efficiently on current projects as well as tho who wish to practice and prepare for either the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
